The inaugural Advanced Manufacturing Australia (AMAus) Awards Program will recognize the achievements of Australia’s Advanced Manufacturing Industry and will be announced at the AMAus Annual Dinner in October 2008.
To mark its significance and debut, the AMAus Innovation Excellence Award will be presented by The Honorable Senator Kim Carr, Minister for Innovation, Industry, Science and Research.
Advanced Manufacturing encompasses leading edge practices, technologies and the organisational cultures needed to sustain global competitiveness in manufacturing industries.
Providers of advanced manufacturing tools, technologies and engineering services underpin the competitiveness of the wider Australian manufacturing industry.
These providers are spread across several industry sectors and are found in mining, agriculture, health, automotive, aerospace, defence, food and environmental arenas.
The Australian advanced manufacturing industry supplies to domestic and a growing international market.
AMAus currently supports three awards - AMAus
Innovation Excellence Award, Academic Achievement Award, and the Apprentice of
the Year Award.
